Play is a serious yet sometimes dangerous business. Gumshoe drops you into a world where facts are few, and trusted allies are fewer.  For the 125th Anniversary of Henry Street Settlement, Trusty Sidekick's Young Devisers took over the historic settlement house where a clandestine game was afoot, inspired by the legacy of Settlement founder Lillian Wald.  Are you up for digging up the facts or are you stuck in place?

This world premiere was created with Trusty Sidekick’s Young Devisers, a youth ensemble of curated individuals (ages 9 and up) interested in creating original, emergent and progressive theatrical experiences that activate New York City spaces in unexpected ways. Young Devisers performed alongside members of Trusty Sidekick’s adult ensemble. Gumshoe was commissioned by Abrons Arts Center and was supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council. This program was made possible in part by a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities: Exploring the Human Endeavor.
